553 of course! We had answers as low as 134 and as high as 2225....
Congratulations to Liz at Paddy Barrys Irish Pub in Blenheim who won the Pub Owner/Managers category with a guess of 562. Further congratulations to Johnno the quiz host at both Nuffield Street in Newmarket and the Slipp Inn in Birkenhead, Auckland who won the Quiz Host category with a guess of 552, and in doing so won a luxury weekend away for two nights anywhere in New Zealand, for being the closest guess out of all the entries received!
As you can see Johnno was overwhelmed, and as he is currently single has the predicament of not only where to go, but who to take!

Monteith's Champions Quiz 2007
The eighth annual Monteith's NZ Champion's quiz took place on October 28 at the Horse & Trap in Auckland. The winning team were 'The Men Who Would Be Kings' from the Kingslander in Auckland. Second were last years champions 'Eddie M'Bubu' from the Occidental in Wellington, who just failed to do the three-peat by a solitary point. Next years quiz is scheduled for Sunday October 19. It will once again be held at the Horse & Trap who once again did a fabulous job as host. Many thanks to Monteith's; in their first year of sponsorship, Marisa and Malcolm did a tremendous job of ensuring nobody went home disappointed.
